Thorong La Trek is the most popular trek in Nepal. One can enjoy nature's beauty walking trough rhododendron forests over the foothills of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. The region is popular for the world's deepest gorge (Kali Gandaki) and the highest lake Tilicho situated at the altitude of 4,919m. It is the classic trek in the world. The route starts from Bhulbhule and follows the Marsyangdi River giving great views of Manaslu and Himal Chuli to the east
At the top of the valley is the Thorong La (5416m), the highest point of the trek. The temple of muktinath with 108 water ponds emerging holy water is equally sacred to both Hindu and Buddhist Pilgrims.
Travel Itinerary
1st Day: Arrival in Kathmandu, meet at the airport and transfer to Hotel.
2nd Day: Drive Kathmandu - Bhulbhule (840 m) by tourist bus (6hrs) and stay at Lodge
3rd Day: Start trekking, overnight at Syange (1100 m)
4th Day: Dharapani (1860 m)
5th Day: Chame (2700 m)
6th Day: Pisang (3200 m)
7th Day: Manang (3400 m)
8th Day: Acclimatization day
9th Day: Yak Kharka (4018m)
10th Day: Thorong Phedi ( 4500 m)
11th Day: Cross Thorong La (5416 m), overnight at Muktinath (3800 m)
12th Day: Jomsom (2800 m)
13th Day: Fly Jomsom – Pokhara – Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel
14th Day: Kathmandu – leisure day and evening farewell dinner
15th Day: Departure to connect next destination or you may extend the trip as per your desire and time permit
